Would you like to know the history of Nourison area rugs? Here it is. Nourison of America was established in 1978 by Carl and Mieke Bouckaert. The company began to produce affordable polypropylene Nourison area rugs. Few years later, Nourison became the first manufacturer to produce its own fiber - extruding polypropylene.
Since mid 80s, Nourison has begun to diversify its manufacturing operations, acquiring such famous broadloom manufacturers as Conquest and Interloom. In 2000, Nourison company launched its new marketing strategy of licensing brands for its floor covering products. Nourison is now extending its assortment of hand-made and hand-tufted Nourison area rugs.
The collection of Nourison area rugs includes twenty different patterns of hand-made wool rugs. In the collection, seven carpets are hand-tufted, eight are hand-tufted and hand-hooked; and five are hand-tufted and hand-hooked using so-called “microhook” technique.
The latter Nourison area rugs have the most colorful and detailed designs.
