Rugs carpet are factory-made or hand-made goods. Rugs carpet can be weaved from wool, silk, leather, animal skin and more. Often rugs carpet are piled. Carpets are used for covering floors or you may create decorations with them. At first let us know about what is the difference between rugs carpet and gobelins or mats. In rugs carpet, threads of pile are fastened off with knots. On the contrary to rugs carpet, a gobelin or a tapestry has no knots, threads are dragged through the base and these threads are nailed down to each other by using special fork. There are two kinds of surfaces in rugs carpet. Rugs carpet are weaved, using very difficult, accurate technique, with mathematical precision. On the contrary to rugs carpet, gobelins are weaved quite arbitrary. Apart from different rugs carpet and gobelins there are mats. Mats differ from rugs carpet in the method of threads interweaving (it is very similar to that in tapestry). Also mats are manufactured of sisal (dried fibers of agave), but nevertheless, mats are prototypes of rugs carpet. |
